Super Powers Game

This was an impromptu parting gift and game I invented, having spent the greater part of 3 weeks at an art residency with an amazing group of international artists.

It revolves around my penchant for serious play and dinner conversations about what and who we are beyond our problems (our authentic selves).

I made 11 sets of cards, distributed to each person at the residency.

Each card contains 2 questions:
Who (is the person)?
What (is their superpower)?

Everyone fills out a card for each person including themselves and names their superpower (tacit/overt). The names are collated together and each person is given a set of their own personal superpowers to keep, be reminded of, and to own.

It was surprising to learn in a passing conversation that many people treasured and kept theirs. These are images sent by their owners. Though I did not know at the time, it taught me something about the covert power of generosity.
